We have an extra special Black History Spotlight right here on our campus. Do you know who it is? It is going to Mr. Billy Howard, the recipient of the prestigious award, Veteran of the Year. Mr. Howard was honored by the non-profit, SAFE Communities, and the Spring ISD Education Foundation this week. Our incredible Mr. Howard served in the Air Force, but we know him best as the lovable, laughable, generous, warm, positive, Christian, and kind Black man on our campus who treats the kids like they are his own grandchildren, as some affectionately call him PawPaw. Mr. Howard you have a piece of our heart here at Burchett and we can't think of a better month than February, not only because you are an incredible Black role model, but because you model LOVE in your words and actions. You teach US that love is a verb. Thank you Mr. Howard.
